About Us

The Lantern is a non-profit, charitable organization administered by a volunteer Board of Directors. We want our community to become a stronger and more vibrant place, and we work towards that goal by providing free and subsidized meeting and event space to peer support groups and other community groups that are unable to pay. When you rent space at The Lantern, you help us achieve that goal!

What We Offer

Formerly a primary school, The Lantern has a range of spaces that can accommodate a variety of programs and events, plus several amenities, including:

  • All your presentation needs: projectors, screens, PA, mics, flipcharts;
  • Accessible event space and washrooms;
  • Banquet tables and chairs, plus space for food preparation and storage for DIY or catered meals and tea breaks;
  • Free high-speed internet access throughout the building.
